LND'S Owner

Leo N. Durant has been in the Las Vegas Construction market since moving to Las Vegas from Iowa in 1970. He graduated Iowa State University in 1967 as a 2nd Lt. in the United States Marine Corp., with a Bachelor of Science Degree In Business Administration and a minor in Economics. After serving honorably, as a decorated Veteran, he received his retirement from the Marine Corp. as a 1st Lt. in August 1969.

Leo has served as CEO for the RH Grant Corporation, the Sunrise Corporation, and Emerson Development Company, all developers in the Las Vegas market. RH Grant constructed 200+ single family homes and over 190 multi-family attached town homes. Emerson Development planned and developed 10 PUD communities of single family attached town homes, planned and built two FHA 221-D4 developments - Casa Del Sol in West Las Vegas, and Villa Del Sol in East Las Vegas. Emerson also planned and developed Skyline View in Reno, Nevada, a 62 acre Hillside community consisting of 129 single-family homes.

LND Construction was founded by Leo Durant in 1978 enabling him to enter the commercial construction market. Since that time, LND has completed a wide variety of projects, including: several design build joint venture, public works, multi family developments and over 200,000 square feet of professional office tenant improvements.

Leo Durant currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Associated General Contractors and the Las Vegas Country Club and is the President of the Leathernecks, Inc., the Nevada Subcontractors Association, and the Sunrise Villas Home Owners Association. Leo has also been called as an expert witness in several District Court cases.

Brief History

LND Construction is a locally owned and operated General Contracting firm. The company was formed in 1978 by Leo N. Durant and currently holds an unlimited license in the states of Nevada, Arizona and Texas.

Specializing in design/build for single tenant occupancies, tenant improvements, specialty retail centers and the remodel of existing facilities. LND's services are tailored to meet your specific needs, from conception to completion.

Professional Experience

LND'S management team has over 175 years of collective experience in the construction industry. This experience covers a wide spectrum, from educational facilities to commercial and light industrial facilities.

Our knowledge of the geographical area, long term relationships with architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers and a thorough understanding of local and state codes, plus the excellent relationship LND has with the entities that govern this industry help give us an edge over our competitors.

Community Involvement

Giving back to a community that has allowed us to be successful is an important part of LND's philosophy. LND Construction makes commitments each and every year to many charitable organizations including the Boys and Girls Club, The Boy Scouts of America, St. Jude's Ranch, The Special Olympics, Safe Nest, Shade Tree, Candlelighters, and also gives generously to scholarship funds sponsored by several of the Construction Organizations here in Southern Nevada.

Not only does LND Construction know the value of giving back to it's Community, but the owner of LND Construction, Leo Durant, also knows the importance of being involved in the organizations that enhance the professionalism of the industries it is involved in, and to have a voice in the entities that govern the planning and growth of one of the fastest growing cities in the country. Leo is active, not only as a member, but does and has served on the Board of Directors of many of these organizations!
